BARBARA CLARK

Barbara Clark founded her literary agency in 2008 to bring superb literary fiction, nonfiction, and illustrated books into the spotlight and to help the authors of these works achieve the recognition they deserve. She began her career in book publishing as an editorial assistant at Doubleday, then moved on to hold editorial positions at Simon and Schuster and Farrar, Straus & Giroux, followed by executive- and senior-level editorial positions at Viking Studio Books, Rizzoli International Publications, Stewart, Tabori & Chang, and Reader’s Digest Select Editions. She is a former MediaBistro instructor and has served as the career adviser for the Columbia Publishing Course. Barbara graduated with a degree in English literature from Bryn Mawr College and holds a master’s degree in acting from the Actors Studio MFA Program. She maintains her office in South Salem, New York, in northern Westchester County.
